Dark Soul game building/discussion thread

Right now my biggest concern in whether or not use a custom setting or one of the existing settings. Right now I would like to have the game taking place in a prison the contains the first to be marked with the dark sign. It wasn't to long though did a massive crusade consumed the land and plunged everything into darkness. Now the fire has reawaken but now the war torn land is flooding with hollows fighting their eternal war.
